Expansion in “Two-Dimensions”

Nik Garvoille – Plant based Pigments

Plum Bottom Pottery and Gallery is thrilled to present, “Two Dimensions”, a celebration of their painters, printmakers and other 2D artists on August 9 from 4 – 8 pm. The gallery curates a collection of more than twenty nationally collected artists, all of which will be on display for show.

“We’ve long been known as an art destination for pottery and jewelry,” says owner Chad Luberger. “Our expansion now allows us to present a diverse collection of artists in the fields of painting, photography and printmaking.” The gallery will serve light desserts and wine for the event.

“Two Dimensions” features new work from Plum Bottom’s artists including Mary White, a plein air artist who will show a new collection of work based on the Door County landscape. Other artists include Erin Nolan, long known for her wood block prints, will showcase a new series of paintings based loosely on aboriginal story art; Nik Garvoille will show a body of work that uses plant-based pigments on linen paper; Laverne Bohlin (new to Plum Bottom) will showcase a collection of her plein air landscapes in pastel and oil; Valerie Saxer will debut her newest line of “transformational” paintings, created on steel canvases, so that over time the works will transform and change with the seasons; Carol Pflughoeft will show her latest color filled fractal photography; and Mark Pflughoeft will also debut his latest acrylic paintings.
