Experience Natural Christmas at The Ridges

Spend time this holiday season surrounded by natural beauty during The Ridges Sanctuary’s annual Natural Christmas, set for Dec. 11, 3-6 pm, at the Cabins at The Ridges, 8288 Cty Q in Baileys Harbor.

Guests can stroll the softly lit Hidden Brook boardwalk, roast marshmallows and chestnuts around an outdoor fire, and listen to holiday music in the beautifully decorated Kaye Cabin. Delicious cookies, warm cider and hot chocolate will be available in the decorated Cook-Albert Fuller Nature Center, 8166 Hwy 57 in Baileys Harbor.

The event will also include a wreath-making workshop, free holiday crafts for all ages, guided hikes and tours of the Range Light, and shopping at the Nature Store for nature-themed stocking stuffers, housewares and clothing.

Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. The fee of $20 for the wreath-making workshop includes all materials for one wreath. Additional wreaths and swags are $10 each. Masks are required for all indoor activities.

The Ridges is also hosting a photo contest Nov. 22 – Dec. 13 of photos taken at The Ridges or in Baileys Harbor with the theme of nature. An additional prize category will be offered for photos taken during Natural Christmas. Submit photos through Facebook starting Nov. 29 by tagging @ridgessanctuary and using #ridgesphoto2021.
