Explore Beehives at Pollenpalooza

The Door County Beekeepers Club will participate in the annual Pollenpalooza – a celebration of pollinators – held at Crossroads at Big Creek, Aug. 21, 1-4 pm, along with Wild Ones of Door County and the Door County Seed Library.

The beekeeping part of this family-oriented event will provide a presentation in the Collins Learning Center auditorium, hive demonstrations at the club apiary with Flow Hive tapping, honey extraction demonstrations in the lower level at 2 pm and 3 pm. Watch live bees in an observation hive and learn about clever ways to use beeswax including a candle-making demonstration.
