Explore the Outdoors at Crossroads

Students of elementary-school age can learn about ecosystems through the free Discovery Outdoors Club at Crossroads at Big Creek. The Jan. 14, 2 pm, program will explore ice and what can be found beneath the surface. If the weather is bad, the outdoor-discovery program will move indoors. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.

Join Tom Minahan of the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society for the next installment of the Quantum Revolution lecture series Jan. 14, 1-4 pm. These free lectures follow the theoretical and experimental development of quantum physics and the quantum nature of matter and energy. The Door County Beekeepers Club will hold its next meeting Jan. 17, 6:30 pm, at the Collins Learning Center. Tim Wilbanks will talk about his family bee-supply business: the largest suppliers of bees, nucs and queens in the world. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.

When conditions allow, Crossroads will also host its Ski for Free program. Trail conditions for Crossroads at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, are posted at crossroadsatbigcreek.org.
