Join the Door Peninsula Astronomical Society (DPAS) on May 4, 8 pm, at the Leif Everson Observatory for a viewing night, whether cloudy or clear. If the sky is clear, the observatory and StarGarden will be open. If it’s a cloudy night, attend a planetarium show in the Stonecipher Astronomy Center.
On May 7, 7 pm, join DPAS for its monthly meeting at the Astronomy Campus, 2200 Utah St. The program – part of a series on lunar missions – will feature the second phase of the Apollo program. Refreshments will be served.
On May 8, 6-8 pm, cast your eyes to the sky during weather-spotting training. Participants will learn the fundamentals of thunderstorm development, storm structures, identifying potential severe-weather features and reporting observations. The free program is open to the public.
The Collins Learning Center, at 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, is open 2-4 pm daily and during scheduled events.
