Exploring the Library: Door County Library Resource Help

by Laura Kayacan, Adult Services Librarian; and Shauwn Rosendale, Technical Support Specialist, Door County Library

Did you know that we at Door County Library can assist with downloading digital books, audiobooks, magazines, music and videos with library apps on your cell phone, tablet or laptop? Library staff members are happy to help you with setting up and using these services provided by the library and library system.

We can also help with connecting your devices to the library’s Wi-Fi, signing on to a public computer or catalog computer, scanning documents, or printing from your computer, tablet or smartphone. All branches of Door County Library provide access to public computers, printers and free Wi-Fi so that you can get online and find the information you need.
While at Door County Library, staff can help with everyday computer questions, but if you need a little extra assistance, we may be able to help there, too. Appointments are available with Sturgeon Bay staff for help accessing resources and websites for career and job information, as well as employment and training services in the area. We can’t fill out online forms for you, but we’ll do our best to guide you in the right direction.

If you’re looking to improve your technology or computer skills, a good resource to start with is Goodwill’s online learning site at GCFLearnFree.org. We also offer self-help technology books – for both beginning and advanced users – for checkout at any of our branches. If you can’t find what you are looking for or don’t know where to start, just ask a librarian for help!
