Southern Door School District is sponsoring a 10-week open lab workshop for adults in its high school Fab Lab on Wednesday evenings, 6-8 pm, Jan. 29 through April 1.
The first session will be a training session, with the remaining nine sessions open for participants to use laser engravers, 3D printers, the vinyl cutter and CNC equipment. Software available for use includes CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, Aspire, MasterCam, SolidWorks and machine-specific software. Instructors are Glen Vander Velden, Seth Wilson and their student assistants.
Workshop costs include registration – $75 for Southern Door residents or $125 for nonresidents – and any material costs incurred for projects. An application form (available on the district website or from the high school office) and registration fee must be turned in to the Southern Door High School office. Space is limited, and the class will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
