Fall Harvest Fest at Orchard Country Winery

Nathan Merkel of Fish Creek participates in last year’s Apple Cider Donut Eating Contest.

Orchard Country Winery & Market will host its 10th annual Fall Harvest Fest on Sept. 27 from 10 am – 5 pm with complimentary tasting of Orchard Country wines, local micro brews and farm market foods.

The fun also includes fresh-picked apples; free, guided winery tours every hour from 10 am – 4 pm; and two contests – apple cider donut eating contests at 11 am and 1 pm, and an apple pie eating contest at 2 pm.

Hop aboard a horse-drawn wagon ride throughout the scenic orchards from 11 am – 2 pm or sit back and enjoy the sounds of Bacchus Lotus from 1 pm – 5 pm. Children’s activities include pumpkin bowling, a football toss, an inflatable bouncer, face painting and balloons by Happyness Clowns. Plus, there will be food, bakery and a variety of pumpkins and gourds available for purchase.

“We invite visitors to come see why fall is our favorite season at Orchard Country. We love fresh-picked apples, warm bakery, spiced wine, caramel apples, and the colorful pumpkins,” said Kendra Sohm, marketing and sales manager. “Plus, this event offers so much fun for families – from the contests to the live music.”

Orchard Country Winery & Market is located at 9197 Highway 42 in Fish Creek. The winery and market is open daily 9 am – 6 pm, and until 5 pm on Sunday. For more information call 866.946.3263 or visit orchardcountry.com.
