Fall Harvest Fest at Orchard Country Winery

The leaves are slowly turning to shades of red and gold, which means the Door County apples are also crisp and ready for harvest. Join the Lautenbach family at Orchard Country Winery & Market on Saturday, September 26 at the fifth annual Fall Harvest & Wine Fest. The day’s festivities begin at 10 am.

The winery has planned a host of activities that promise to delight visitors of every age. Activities include face painting, pumpkin bowling, balloon art, fun inflatables, horse-drawn wagon rides, Door County Trolley tours, outdoor craft booths, and an apple pie eating contest at 12:30 pm. Live music by bluegrass musicians Bent Grass will occur from 1 – 5 pm.

Visitors are also invited to pick the ever-traditional Macintosh apples or come inside the market for the popular Honey Crisp. A variety of food will also be prepared by Door County Custom Meats, including delicious apple brats. Other fresh fall bakery items, including apple pies, donuts, turnover, and apple strudel, will be available for purchase.

Award-winning fruit wines have become the hallmark of Orchard Country, with the winery currently producing 34 blends Complimentary wine tastings of favorite blends such as Honey Crisp apple and Autumn Harvest will be accompanied by offerings of Lakefront Brewery’s popular pumpkin and cherry beer. Free, guided winery tours will begin at 10 am and continue until 4 pm.
