Fall Sale at Bazyli Studio

As the colors change in the county, Bazyli Studio Wearable Art Gallery will offer its last splash of color before closing for the 2019 season.

At Bazyli Studio, you’ll find resident artist Peter Ciesla’s art clothing, made with natural and organic fabrics of linen, hemp, silk, cotton and wool. He dyes much of his own yardage with Door County plants, including sumac flowers, seeds and leaves, raspberry, black walnut hulls, goldenrod and many others. In addition, he and his partner, Skye, are nationally recognized for their award-winning beaded jewelry line.

The gallery also sells the work of some local, regional and national wearable artists: Shibori-dyed silks, cotton leggings, hoodies and thermal tops by Carter Smith; jackets and vests by weaver Vivian Morrison; painted silk scarves and tops by Joanna A lot Designs; quilts by Pat Kroth; colorful knitted sweaters by Lana Vosk; and Alpaca wraps and scarves by 5 Miles East.

Bazyli Studio, 2551 Ahrens Road in Baileys Harbor, will close for the season Oct. 20. Until then, it’s open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm; and Sunday, 10 am – 4 pm. It will be open Oct. 14 during the Columbus Day weekend.
