The Door County Maritime Museum and the Family Centers of Door County will again jointly host a Family Day celebration on April 15 from 1 – 5 pm at the museum in Sturgeon Bay. The two organizations launched the event three years ago and it has proven to be a tremendous success. Again this year, families are invited to tour the museum free of charge and participate in a variety of events.

Activities include tours of the Tug John Purves, a scavenger hunt throughout the museum and an assortment of craft projects. Refreshments will also be provided.

The event is made possible through the support of 10 sponsors, including principle sponsor Ministry Door County Medical Center. Others sponsors include: Door County Advocate; Main Street Market; Baylake Bank; Wulf Brothers, Inc.; Stoneman-Schopf Insurance; Door County Eye Associates; Econo Foods, Hannemann-Gosser Insurance & Financial Services and The Healthy Way.

Tickets are free and must be reserved in advance by calling the museum. Reservations are strongly recommended to ensure admission and must include at least two generations of family members.
