Family Fun at Holly Days in Egg Harbor

Holly Days brings a weekend of old-fashioned holiday fun, including horse-drawn wagon rides, to downtown Egg Harbor over Thanksgiving weekend.

Start the day Nov. 25 and 26, 8:30-10:30 am, at Breakfast with Santa at Big Easy. Also on Friday and Saturday, enjoy free children’s activities, 10 am – 2 pm, at several locations throughout town, plus an elf hunt at participating businesses. Visitors can decorate cookies at Pink Bakery, make coffee-filter snowflakes at Big Easy, get glitter tattoos at Be Beauty, decorate ornaments at Golf ’n More In-Door, stroll down Candy Cane Lane at Wish and Drink Wisconsinbly, and write letters to Santa at the Kress Pavilion.

Need to warm up? Plum Bottom Gallery will be hosting a hot-cocoa bar Nov. 25 and 26, 10 am – 4 pm.

On Friday, 4:30 pm, Santa will arrive at Harbor View Park in a fire truck to visit, appear in photos and light the Christmas tree. The countdown for Santa to light the tree will begin at 5 pm. Complimentary cookies and hot cocoa will be available, and caroling is encouraged.

Need to work off that Thanksgiving dinner? Take part in One Barrel’s 2.62-mile fun run on Saturday. Feeling lucky? Test your luck at bingo with the Egg Harbor Historical Society on Saturday at the Kress Pavilion. Doors open at 9:30 am, and the first game begins at 10 am. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be at the Kress Pavilion on Saturday, 11 am – 2 pm, for photos.

It’s a great time to start your holiday shopping because many Egg Harbor businesses will be offering specials and sales all weekend. Donations are welcome to help continue the Holly Days tradition.
