Fat-Tire Bike Race

The more snow, the more fun awaits fat-bike enthusiasts who are eager to compete in the Kewaunee County leg of the Snow Crown Fat-Bike Series.

The White Cap will take place at Ryan Park, N4760 Cty C in Kewaunee, on Feb. 1, beginning at 10 am. This is the second year that the park has been chosen to be one of four locations for the series. Competitors will take to a twisty single track in the woods with plenty of space for passing.

The event aligns with a partnership between the Kewaunee County Promotions and Recreation Department and Green Bay’s Broken Spoke Bike Studio to actively groom the bike trail at Ryan Park during the winter months for fat bikes.

“This sport has Ryan Park in use year-round, and people seem to really enjoy the trail,” said Dave Myers, director of Kewaunee County Promotions and Recreation. “We couldn’t do this without the team at Broken Spoke Bike Studio in Green Bay because it’s their hard work and time put into grooming that is bringing riders to Kewaunee County.” To register, visit snowcrownseries.com/kewaunee by Jan. 31 to receive a discounted rate of $35, or register onsite the day of the event for $40. Participants did not need to compete in the previous three races of the series. Spectators may attend for free.
