Featured Artists Announced at Gallery of Door County Art League

Artwork by Gale Ritchey, DCAL featured Artist of the Week.

The Gallery of the Door County Art League will feature the work of artists Mary Streu, Patsy Stierna, and Gale Ritchey during the week of August 14.

Streu’s paintings are colorful and vibrant. Featured at the Eastern Shore Art Center and Fairhope Artist’s Gallery in Alabama, she lives in Forestville with her husband, Glen.

Stierna’s pottery is “inspired by nature,” she said. Often, she uses imprints of real leaves and natural materials in her bowls and plates. Her creations are food and dishwasher safe. Her studio is open by appointment by calling 920.743.4759.

Ritchey is a psychic healer and artist using “qi flow artistry.” She will be on hand August 14 and August 17 to demonstrate her creative/healing arts energy work. Her artwork can also be seen at White Rose Healing Arts Studio in Fish Creek and J. Jeffrey Taylor in Fish Creek.

Jeanne and David Aurelius of Clay Bay Pottery in Ellison Bay are featured Master Artists at the gallery from the end of August through mid-September. Door County Masters are individuals who have made a significant contribution to the visual arts in Door County. Elementary schools throughout Door County and Wisconsin have benefited from Aurelius expertise as artists-in-residence.
