Featured Pet: Brewer

In honor of the 2017 Milwaukee Brewers season, this week’s featured pet from the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) was named Brewer. While no one knows his exact bloodlines most think Brewer is a Labrador-hound mix. He is approximately three years old and tips the scales at a healthy 70 pounds. When you glance his way it is clear to see Brewer is a handsome guy with a rich dark brown coat with light tan accents. He came to DCHS as a stray and is now looking for a loving home to call his own. Brewer is a sweet, loving and intelligent guy. He is good with other dogs and just wants to find a family to curl up and watch Brewers games with. Any takers?

DCHS and Tractor Supply Company are hosting their first-ever adoption event together. This event will take place March 25, 11 am – 3 pm, and will be hosted at Tractor Supply Company, 1833 Egg Harbor Road, Sturgeon Bay.

“We are so excited to be partnering with the Tractor Supply Company for this adoption event. We believe it is the start of a great working relationship with another local Door County business. Through events like this, the DCHS is able to reach more people in the community and also continue our mission of finding great homes for the many cats and dogs that currently live at the shelter. All of our pets that are available for adoption have been age-appropriately spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and received flea, tick, and mite medicine as needed. To make the adoption event even better, Tractor Supply Company is donating a gift card to DCHS for each adoption that takes place during the event,” stated Communications and Development Coordinator April Delfosse.

To take advantage of this opportunity you must be approved to adopt an animal by DCHS. To become approved, fill out an application form. DCHS will process the application as quickly as possible and let you know the outcome.
