Featured Pet: Jarvis Island

Meet Jarvis Island, a three-year-old cat who’s available for adoption at the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) Door County Campus. Jarvis is one of the 72 cats rescued from a single home in Green Bay in early October. Now that he’s received all necessary treatments and assessments, he’s ready to find a new loving home!

Although he’s still shy and a bit unsure about new people and situations, he’s gradually learning that humans can be trusted. Cheek, chin and belly scratches are his favorite! Jarvis Island needs that special family that will show him everything wonderful that life has to offer. Like all cats at WHS, he’s been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, plus you get to name your own adoption fee!

Stop in to meet Jarvis Island during our adoption hours. The WHS Door County Campus – at 3475 Park Dr., across from Cherryland Airport in Sturgeon Bay – is open for adoptions Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12-6 pm; and Saturday, 12-4 pm. To learn more, call 920.746.1111.
