Featured Pet: The Mouth

The Cattery Staff at Door County Humane Society (DCHS) would like to send out a plea for a very special resident named The Mouth. The Mouth came to DCHS as a stray a few months ago. This handsome two-year-old boy has stunning green eyes and a golden and brown longhaired coat. The reason he received his unique name is because when he first came into the shelter he talked nonstop. Sadly, in the past few months of living at the shelter, The Mouth has not been doing well in this stressful environment. His appetite has lessened, his chatter has quieted, and he is even losing some of his beautiful coat due to stress. Recently DCHS staff brought him into one of the offices to let him roam around and socialize and the change in a small amount of time was remarkable. While this is promising news, it shows us how much this cat needs a home environment. The freedom to move around a room and loving humans will do wonders for this boy’s physical and mental health. If you are able to supply this love and companionship, please stop by and meet this special furry friend.
