Featured Pet: Rabi

This week the Door County Humane Society introduce readers to Rabi, pronounced “Rabby.” He is a 7 to 9-year-old beagle/German shepherd mix and was surrendered because his owner was evicted from their home. He was also an outdoor dog with them. He loves taking walks and spending time outdoors when the weather is nice. Rabi is getting used to his new sense of human companionship and he loves it. He definitely prefers to socialize with people than hang in his kennel. He is very good on a leash. Unfortunately, he does have many growths on his body but can’t have surgery because he’s older. Luckily, he’s not in pain. This guy really loves life and is very happy. He would cherish whoever adopts him. If interested in adopting Rabi, please stop in during normal open hours.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 County PD in Sturgeon Bay, is open 12 – 6 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and 12 – 4 pm Saturday. For more information, call 920.746.1111 or visit doorcountyhumanesociety.org.
