Featured Pet: Skid

The cattery staff at the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) would like to introduce a very special feline that holds the title of “longest resident currently living at DCHS.” Skid was found as a young stray kitten in July 2013, and for the past three years, (almost his whole life) he has been looking for a loving family to call his own. This handsome boy truly has the appearance of a jungle cat with a black and gray coat and large yellow eyes. Staff at DCHS believe he is part Siamese; he even has the faint, soft, and squeaky meow that the breed is known to have. Skid is a very athletic and inquisitive boy who loves the companionship of other cats. In the past, he has been scared around humans, but in the last several months he has made tremendous strides and is coming out of his shell. The only requirement that Skid asks of his future family is a little bit of extra TLC for his dietary and medical needs. Due to Skid having Stomatitis, he requires occasional shots and hypoallergenic food to stay healthy and happy and he’s totally worth it. So please open up your heart and consider bringing Skid into your family today!
