Featured Pet: Tyson

This is Tyson, a seven-month-old feline who came to the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) as a stray in August and ever since has been looking for a loving family to call his own. As you can see by the picture, he is a handsome guy with an orange and white coat. When he first came to DCHS he did not wholeheartedly trust humans and was not a big fan of being touched. However, during the past couple of months he has made a big change and now enjoys the companionship of humans, especially the gentle, patient ones. Tyson currently lives with multiple cats in a colony but would be happy in a home with or without cats. Something that makes him truly unique is that he is a polydactyl cat, also referred to as a “mitten kitten,” with an extra toe on his paw.

The Door County Humane Society, located at 3475 County PD in Sturgeon Bay, is open 12 – 6 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and 12 – 4 pm Saturday. For more information call 920.746.1111 or visit doorcountyhumanesociety.org.
