Federal and State Grant Programs for Farmers

Come hear about federal and state grant programs that help fund value added agricultural enterprises and sustainable agriculture research and education. The presentations will cover the following grant opportunities:

• USDA’s Value Added Producer Grant program, which provides planning and working capital funds to farmers and farmer-based enterprises to develop and implement value-added ventures.

• DATCP’s Agricultural Development and Diversification grant program, which funds initiatives that develop new value-added products, new markets, or new technologies in agriculture.

• USDA’s Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education grants program, which fund research, marketing and demonstration projects.
