Fenendael Exhibits “The Collection”

“Royalty” by Ed Fenendael

“The Collection,” works in watercolor by Door County artist Ed Fenendael, will be on display at Glas Coffehouse, located at 67 East Maple Street in Sturgeon Bay, from Dec. 5 – 29.

Finding beauty in the simple, the rural, and the pastoral scenes of the world, Fenedael’s paintings speak of a real connection to the earth and his surroundings.

Fenendael studied at the Kansas City Art Institute where he remains on the continuing education staff. He also studied at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and graduated from Marquette University.

Fenendael teaches classes at his studio, Morning Mist Studio at Windmill Farm, from mid-April to late October. In addition he conducts workshops at the Peninsula School of Art and other locations in the United States and various parts of the world. In October 2012 he will again take a group to Tuscany, Italy and in March 2013 he will conduct “Painting in the Land South of the Clouds” at the Linden Centre in Southwest China.

Fenendael was honored with the Master Artist of the Year Award in 2008 by the Door County Art League and has received numerous other awards for his work.

He is represented at Ephraim Clayworks, Morning Mist Studio, and galleries throughout the country and as far away as France.
