Festival Feast

A Pumpkin Patch food preview

What’s a festival without great food? Here are a few great options to choose from while visiting Egg Harbor’s Pumpkin Patch Festival this weekend.

The Dog House will be serving up brats, hot dogs, burgers, pie and that Wisconsin essential: hand-dipped cheese curds. There will be a corn roast benefiting Gibraltar School, as well as caramel apples and kettle corn. Be sure to give a warm greeting to the volunteers working in the beer tents, including the Justin Strong group and folks from the Ellie Helm Foundation.

Some local restaurants will also offer specials to add to the Pumpkin Patch festivities. Fireside will serve its Big Easy jambalaya, cheeseburger and pork-belly sliders, key lime pie cups, NOLA hurricanes, and warm fall sangria. Look for Casey’s BBQ to have its pulled-pork and chopped barbecue beef sandwiches outside.

Jolly’s Street Pizza will be set up at Shipwrecked, and the Lions Club will be serving at Mojo Rosa’s on Saturday. Plus, the Ephraim Fire Department will offer funnel cakes, and Elevation Church will have caramel-apple sundaes at Drink Wisconsibly.
