The season of festivals is just around the corner, with three big ones highlighting Memorial Day weekend. Here’s a rundown of upcoming May and June festivals.
Door County Festival of Nature

Enjoy a slate of field trips, events and experiences to help you explore that unique natural systems found throughout Door County. The festival kicks off with the opening of a new exhibit at The Ridges Sanctuary on May 25 and a keynote dinner at About Thyme Farm in Baileys Harbor on Friday, May 26. The festival features dozens of field trips over Memorial Day weekend and continues in June.
Jacksonport Maifest

The 50th Jacksonport Maifest features the Lake-to-Lake run (10K and 2-mile runs) parade, music, family activities, a horse pull and fireworks at Lakeside Park in Jacksonport. The event raises thousands every year for the Jacksonport community.
Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair

Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair is the season kickoff in the city. Take Festival includes a juried multi-media art show featuring fine art from artists around the U.S. While you check out the art, enjoy live entertainment, children’s activities, food, and much more at Martin Park.
Door County Lighthouse Festival

Boat excursions and guided land-based tours to all 11 historic Door County lighthouses. Visitors will have access to lighthouses that aren’t typically open to the public, including Chambers Island, Plum Island and Sherwood Point lighthouses.
Roofing of the Goats

Fyr Bal Festival

Door County Beer Festival

A celebration of craft beer, culinary artisans, and live music at Maxwelton Braes Lodge in Baileys Harbor. Sample more than 150 beers from dozens of Midwest breweries, enjoy live music from Frank Maloney and his Big Country Unit and great food from local food trucks.
