Few Seats Available for Washington Island’s Dinner in the Vineyard

Only a few seats remain for the Aug. 29 Dinner in the Vineyard on Washington Island. This benefit for the Gathering Ground farm – an innovative, nonprofit farm founded in 2016 to gather people together to celebrate, learn about and practice regenerative agriculture – gathers top chefs from the island and peninsula for a magical night among the vines.

The five-course dinner organized by Anne Dannhausen, formerly of the acclaimed Chicago restaurants Alinea and Vie, will include dishes by Heidi Gilbertson of Island Cafe, Matt Poole of Hotel Washington, Island Edibles, Kick Ash Coffee, Door County Farm Dinners, Roots Inn & Kitchen, Island Orchard Cider and Brews on the Rocks.

The evening includes a cocktail hour with passed appetizers and libations from local breweries and wineries, a vineyard tour and a big-table, family-style meal featuring fresh, local ingredients prepared by top local chefs. Tickets are available at DoorCountyTickets.com for $135 per person. The vineyard is located at 1751 Lake View Road on Washington Island.
