FHCA Launches Season with Wall-to-Wall Salon

The Francis Hardy Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the launch of a very exciting 2008 season with the annual “Wall-to-Wall Salon” exhibit, which will open on the evening of Saturday, May 24 from 5 – 7 pm and remain on view through Thursday, May 29. The weeklong exhibit will feature an array of artwork in a variety of media.

“This is a unique opportunity to showcase the tremendous talents of our local and regional artists,” said Jan Comstock, the Hardy’s executive director.

The weeklong display is great way for exhibiting artists to connect with the public. Each year, viewers are encouraged to cast a vote for their favorite piece with the popular “People’s Choice Awards.”

“We had a tremendous turnout last year with just over 700 votes,” Comstock continued. “We hope to surpass that this year.”

The “People’s Choice Awards” will be announced at the opening reception of the 46th Annual Juried exhibit at 6 pm on Friday, June 6. The event is free and open to the public.

The Francis Hardy Gallery will be closed from Friday, May 30 to Friday, June 6 for the installation of the 46th Annual Juried exhibit and will be open daily from 10 am to 5 pm thereafter. The gallery is located on Ephraim’s historic Anderson Dock. For more information call 920.854.2210, email [email protected] or visit http://www.thehardy.org.
