Fiber Show at Plum Bottom Gallery

Plum Bottom welcomes visitors for Art Show 3: Fiber, running June 22 through July 4, with an opening reception on June 22, 11am-4pm. Michelle Cohn will be in the gallery from 11am-2pm during the reception. New work from Gail Gilson-Pierce and Jean Corby will also be featured. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and be the first to see all the latest Plum Bottom has to offer.

Cohn refers to her art as thread painting. She starts with an expanse of fabric and treats her sewing machine like a paintbrush to create one-of-a-kind scenes.

Corby’s latest collection of embroideries draw inspiration from Door County wildflowers. The newest feature lady’s-slippers, black-eyed Susan, and Jack-in-the-pulpits. Gilson-Pierce takes her painting skills and blends it with her love of quilting to create one-of-a-kind lady’s slippers pieces. Each piece is painted and then details are stitched in.
