Final Ship Announced in Tall Ships Event

Sailing from Chicago’s Navy Pier, “Windy” is a 148-foot, traditional four-masted gaff topsail schooner.

Windy is the final tall ship of nine to be announced for the Nicolet Bank Tall Ships event. Sailing from Chicago’s Navy Pier, Windy is a 148-foot, traditional four-masted gaff topsail schooner built with modern materials and integrating modern amenities and safety features. But, like old trading schooners and sail training ships, this traditional sailing ship retains the character and charm of the great Age of Sail.

On July 25, 8 am, Windy will offer a sail excursion from Sturgeon Bay to Green Bay before the festival – the only ship to do so.
