Fine Art Fair Award Winners Announced

Carolina Niebres, first place winner of 3-dimensional category, shows off her award.

Winners of the 14th annual juried Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair were announced by the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center, event sponsor.

In the 2-dimensional category, photographer Mathew Aaron Aicher took first place and second place went to painter Gisela Magdalena Moyer.

In the 3-dimensional category, first place winner was Carolina Niebres and second place went to Megan Dietz.

Honorable Mentions were awarded to Joy Kruse (jewelry), Ryan Myers (ceramic), Stan Piepenburg (drawing), K&J Sipes (fiber), Jara Loewen (jewelry), Jessie Fritsch (painting), Theresa Cleven (jewelry), Anthony Strublie (drawing), Beth Parsons-Ruble (jewelry) and Lou Williams (wood).

Bridget Bruneau, painter, was awarded the Best in Show and the People’s Choice Award was awarded to Micky Beth for his wood walking sticks and birds. The second annual Art Fair Purchase Award, sponsored by Ministry Door County Medical Center, went to photographer Steven Moore.
