Fine Line Season Opener Features 3 Artists

“Fall Birch Trees” by Martha Fieber. Submitted.

Fine Line Designs is opening its 2023 season with Exhibit I, a display of work by fiber artist Martha Fieber, pastel artist Mac Schueppert and painter David Sear. It will run through July 3. An artists’ reception will take place May 27, 4-6:30 pm, and Fieber will present a demonstration May 28, 11 am – 1 pm.

Longtime Fine Line artist Fieber continues her “landscape in thread” journey, putting a twist on traditional embroidery techniques through detailed layers, colors and textures.

Schueppert says she’s always been “completely devoted” to the medium of soft pastels and spends a lot of time walking the county’s trails to gather ideas for her bright landscapes.

Sear creates surfaces that convey light, texture and color. He finds the intrinsic beauty of the natural world extremely compelling, which is why the Golden Section and other related symmetries find their way into his compositions.
