Fine Line’s Exhibit I Reception & Artist Demonstration

The work of three painters—Richard Patt, Kristy Goggio, and Kathie Wheeler—will open Fine Line Design’s Gallery’s first exhibit of the 2013 season. Exhibit I is currently on display at Fine Line, and the public is invited to an artist reception on May 25 from 4 – 7 pm.

Known as one of the leading fine art landscape painters in Wisconsin, Patt has worked as a self-taught artist for 36 years. He says the rural Wisconsin countryside is the subject he both “loves to paint and longs to paint.” Although he loves to paint alla prima (known as “wet-on-wet painting”), Patt says he’ll use any method to convey the character of the rural landscape to the viewer.

“Forest Floor Song” by Kristi Goggio.

Images of birds have been a steady part of oil painter Goggio’s work for over twenty years. Her latest “Songbird” series shows a more mixed media side of her technique, using vintage sheet music to literally “compose” the songbirds.

Wheeler says she counts herself as fortunate to be an artist, and her paintings reflect the scenes and people in her daily life.

Wheeler will demonstrate her portrait painting technique at the gallery on May 26, 11 am – 2 pm.

Fine Line’s Exhibit I is scheduled to run through June 4, with the second exhibit beginning on June 7. Fine Line Designs is located at 10376 Highway 42 near Ephraim. For more information call 920.854.4343 or visit finelinedesignsgallery.com.
