Fire Fest on Washington Island

Join the Washington Island Fire Department (WIFD) and Washington Island Community Center on Oct. 1 for Fire Fest: a day filled with food, fun and festivities whose entire proceeds will be split between the two organizations. The community center will use its proceeds for community projects, and WIFD’s proceeds will go toward a new rescue boat.

Activities include an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, 7-11 am; games and events, 11 am – 2 pm; lunch, 12-2 pm; a live vehicle extraction, 2 pm; and a sweepstakes drawing, 3 pm. Lunch proceeds will go to the Washington Island Student Council. And don’t miss a smokehouse experience, live water-battle scene and tug-of-war with WIFD.

Tickets ($20 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and younger) include the breakfast. Admission without breakfast is $10.
