First Changes of the Summer

“Great Idea” by Faith Frykman.

The Meadows Art Gallery is hosting the Summer Show until the end of August. This is a different kind of show in that the participating artists will create new work that will change throughout the summer. Possible changes in style, media or dimension will showcase each artist’s work. In addition, there are guest artists that will also exhibit and change the direction and the focus in the show.

The Sturgeon Bay studios remain the backbone of the show. Barbara Sweeney, Madonna Siles, Karen DeNoto, Myrna Cohn, Pat Olson, Faith Frykman, Debra Stroh-Larson and Tim Kornowski are already exhibiting in this show. New pieces have now been added by Faith Frykman, Pat Olson, Debra Stroh-Larson and the first guest artist of the season, Ed Fenendael.

Fenendael has allowed The Meadows to exhibit his artwork and his special use of color. His techniques, experiences and individual growth are his and his alone and done expertly.

As new work becomes available this show will change and renew itself. The Meadows Art Gallery is located in the Scandia Village in Sister Bay. Take Highway 57 to Sister Bay, and enter in the main entrance of Scandia Village. Hours are 10 am – 5 pm daily. For more information call 920.854.2317 or Tom Seagard at 920.854.4416.
