First Day Hike at Newport

If spending more time outdoors is one of your 2023 resolutions, join Newport State Park volunteers on New Year’s Day for a family-friendly First Day Hike on the Fern Trail at 1 pm. This is the 11th year that Wisconsin state parks have participated in the national First Day Hike event.

The 1.2-mile loop will start at parking lot 3. After the hike, head to the shelter building for a bonfire, refreshments, and fun and games for all ages.
