Tonette Walker to Hold 50th “Walk with Walker” at Peninsula State Park

The public is invited to join First Lady Tonette Walker as she celebrates her 50th “Walk with Walker” event in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. Walker will explore Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek on May 12 at 9 am.

“I’m excited to return to Door County to celebrate our 50th Walk with Walker event with the Department of Tourism,” said Walker.

Participants will gather at 8:45 am at the Nicolet Beach parking lot on 10170 Shore Rd in Fish Creek. The Door County Trolley will provide complimentary trolley rides from the parking lot to the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse at Peninsula State Park. The guided walk through Peninsula State Park will be approximately two miles beginning at Eagle Bluff Lighthouse.

Walker with Walker events are free and open to the public. Participants are advised to bring the following items: good walking shoes, hat, sunscreen, insect repellant, appropriate outerwear for the weather, camera and water. For more information visit firstlady.wi.gov.
