Fish Creek Announces Bigger, Better Raffle for 30th Winter Fest

The Fish Creek Civic Association (FCCA) is actively gearing up for the 30th anniversary of the Fish Creek Winter Festival, Feb. 3-5.

Winter Festival’s impressive following has been cultivated throughout the past three decades and continues to grow each year. Such fun as the Wheel of Meat, Bicycle Toss, Chili Cook-Off and the Fruit Loop Fun-Run draws both green and seasoned festers to the heated tent in Clark Park every year.

FCCA Event Coordinator Jackie Campbell said, “Last year was really exciting, with the addition of a live concert. But 2017 is Winter Festival’s 30th year…and you gotta ‘go big or go home,’ so we’re going big!”

In addition to the activities for which the festival is best known, the FCCA is excited to announce several new additions to the 2017 Winter Festival. Sled dog rides from Door County Sled Dogs, an extended Stumpf Fiddle Contest, musical performance by Bacchus Lotus and a bigger and better raffle make up just a sampling of the excitement in store for this wonderful winter weekend.

The FCCA will sell raffle tickets, beginning Nov. 28, for five prize packages (valued between $350 and $600) and a grand prize. All five raffle prizes have been generously donated by Fish Creek businesses. This year’s grand prize is two sets of custom-fitted snowshoes with hiking poles from Nor Door Sport and Cyclery. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Fish Creek Information Center during office hours: 12 – 5 pm Friday; 10 am – 5 pm Saturday; and 12-3pm Sunday. Tickets cost $2 for one, $10 for 6, or $20 for 15. For more information and a full schedule of events visit visitfishcreek.com.
