Fish Creek Civic Association Hires Funkhouser

The Fish Creek Civic Association (FCCA) is pleased to have hired Paige Funkhouser as the new office manager of the Fish Creek Visitor Information Center. Working closely with past office manager James “Digger” DeGroot, this position will expand the services and outreach of the FCCA, its members and the community.

Funkhouser brings with her five years of experience as staff reporter for the Door County Advocate, where she learned the ins and outs of local media and made daily contact with the Door County community. In developing stories for the newspaper, Funkhouser regularly met and interacted with community members, visitors and local and county government officials. She brings to the position a dedication and love for the community in which she works and lives.

Funkhouser started working in the Fish Creek Information Center June 10 and will soon be out visiting with Fish Creek businesses and members.

The Visitor Information Center is in the Gibraltar Town Hall building at 4097 State 42 and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm, and Sundays from 10 am – 3 pm.
