Fish Creek Construction Takes Next Step

The reconstruction of Highway 42 in Fish Creek took another step forward June 5 as crews reopened the highway from through the village up to County F, shortening the detour route for vehicles to get around the major reconfiguration. 

Work continues on the section of Highway 42 between County F and the crosswalk by the Northern Door County YMCA, which remains closed and is slated to open June 26. When completed, sidewalks will connect the YMCA to downtown Fish Creek, and crosswalks with protected islands will exist near the YMCA and Door Community Auditorium.
