Deborah Dendler, local sculptor and resident of Fish Creek, is exhibiting a bronze sculpture at the Academic Artists Association 65th National Exhibition of Contemporary Realism in Vernon, Connectictut from May 3 – 23. Dendler’s sculpture won the Academic Artists 2015 Excellence Award for Sculpture. In April, Dendler’s bronze sculpture “Attitude” was selected for the Focus on Figures 2015 Exhibition in Marshfield, Massachusetts. Also in April, Dendler exhibited terra-cotta sculptures at the North Colorado Arts Association Spring Forward Exhibition in Fort Collins, Colorado, winning an Honorable Mention Award for sculpture.
Dendler was recently inducted as an elected member in the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, a venerable national organization for professional women artists. The Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, founded in 1896, is located in the historic Salmagundi Club of New York. “I’m honored to become a member of the Catherine Lorillard WolfeArt Club and I feel privileged to be a part of this prestigious group of accomplished artists,” Dendler said.
Dendler is also an elected member of the Academic Artists Association and the American Artists Professional League, both of which are dedicated to the study and appreciation of traditional realism in contemporary art.
