Fish Creek’s Hairpin Run Opens Registration

It’s time to sign up for the largest and longest-running 5K race in Door County. Registration for the July 4 Hairpin Run in Fish Creek is now open.

The run is an Independence Day tradition for hundreds of families. Not only do runners kick off their July Fourth celebrations with a run or walk on a beautiful course and go home with a great race T-shirt, but they also help to supply all of the funding for the field trips and enrichment experiences that the Friends of Gibraltar organization provides for K-12 students.

The race starts at 8 am and takes runners up the challenging Fish Creek hill at the start, followed by a winding, closed road course down Gibraltar Bluff Road before heading down the famous Hairpin hill. Runners finish with a homestretch through the canopy and past the beautiful homes on Cottage Row.

Register for $30, now through April 30, at HairpinRun.com.
