Fish Sculptures from Ellison Bay Pottery

Ellison Bay Pottery’s most recent raku firing created more fish sculptures to grace the walls of the gallery with shimmering iridescent fish. Created by master potter John Dietrich, the fish start their journey as vases and then through the magic of altering the clay and adding elements, a fish emerges.

The final step is a raku firing full of fire and smoke. Each fish is ready to hang on a wall. Dietrich is always creating fish so visitors may find him raku firing more. Ellison Bay Pottery is open 10 am to 5 pm daily, and closed on Sunday.
