FIT Oshkosh Presents Bystander/Upstander Workshop on April 30

Have you ever witnessed an act of discrimination, harassment or harm and not known what to do? FIT Oshkosh – a nationally recognized racial-literacy nonprofit advocating for tolerance, equity and inclusion – will present the Bystander/Upstander Workshop to prepare participants to intervene safely and appropriately.

“Door County has not been immune to the well-publicized surge in intolerance challenging our country,” said Kathleen Toerpe, executive director of JUST Door County. “This workshop is a first step in offering interested Door County community members the opportunity to learn effective and proven bystander-intervention responses.” The workshop will be held April 30, 9 am – 3:30 pm, at the Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor. The program cost of $25 per person includes a light lunch. Registration is limited to 30 participants. Register online at doorcountycivilityproject.org or by calling 920.746.1786.
