Fitness Apparel at Wearable Art Show

Clothing from Mary Mendla’s Affluere line.

Mary Mendla from Grafton, Wisconsin will be one of the fiber artists exhibiting at the Door County Wearable Art Show on August 24 & 25. The Sister Bay Village Hall at Waterfront Park will become an indoor boutique for ten artists and their apparel, jewelry and accessories.

Mendla, designer and owner of Facets Fashions, recently launched a new line of dance fitness apparel called Affluere, meaning to flow in abundance with grace. This line of women’s clothing is for fitness activities like Nia, yoga, tai chi and dance. Affluere styles have feminine, flowing silhouettes that move with the body and emphasize the grace and beauty of the feminine form.

Mendla combines a love of unique textiles with creative apparel design. Affluere carries a range of XS to 3X.
