Floral Acrylics at Hillside Inn of Ephraim

Expressive floral painter Nancy K. Sargent brings her colorful canvases to The Hillside Inn of Ephraim in September. Sargent’s original acrylic paintings will be displayed in the first floor lobby area of the newly reopened historic inn.

Born and raised in Fish Creek, Sargent has had a long history in the arts, teaching art at the elementary and high school levels in northern Door County schools before making 13 different moves while raising her family. When Sargent and her husband retired in 1997, they returned to Fish Creek, where Sargent renewed her connections and passion for painting, taking classes and working with established artists on the peninsula, both in acrylics and pastels. She then proceeded to show her work and win awards at numerous venues throughout the county, along with teaching acrylic classes at the Peninsula School of Art. Sargent presently exhibits her work at her own gallery at Bluff House Studio, 9049 Gibraltar Bluff Rd., Fish Creek.
