Heidi Stodola brings the art of flower arranging to Savory Spoon Cooking School and each arrangement is placed in a seasonal vessel, such as a strawberry basket, pineapple or pumpkin. This class allows participants to enjoy exploring their inner florist. Learn how to use seasonal materials to create charming floral arrangements. Refreshments will be served.
Throughout her career as a flight attendant and travels around the world, Stodola managed to slip into the little boutiques and flower shops to see and study unique ways to design and display flowers from Amsterdam’s famous floating flower market to Shanghai’s French Concession.
Acquiring an in-depth knowledge of plants, flowers, and herbs combined with a natural eye for decorating and design is what led her to eventually becoming a floral designer on the East Coast. She relocated to Door County and shares her passion with local families and guests.
The first class is scheduled for July 7, 10 am to noon. For more information and details on each class visit savoryspoon.com.
