Folk Singer Katie Dahl at Base Camp April 30

Popular Door County musician Katie Dahl will perform a concert at Base Camp Coffee Shop in Sister Bay on April 30 at 7 pm.

Local singer-songwriter Katie Dahl, says the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, “combines old-fashioned populism, an abiding love of the land and wickedly smart love songs, all delivered in a rich and expressive alto.” Known for the literate candor of her songs and the easy humor of her live performances, Dahl also has three studio albums and an original musical play, Victory Farm, to her credit. Last year, her song “Crowns” hit number one on the folk radio charts. Wisconsin Public Radio calls Dahl “the real deal.”

Dahl (guitar, vocals) will perform with her husband and frequent sideman, Rich Higdon (upright bass, spoons, washboard, vocals).

Seating for the concert is limited and first-come, first-served. Refreshments and beverages will be available for purchase. Base Camp is located at 10904 Highway 42 in Sister Bay. A $10 suggested donation is requested. For more information, visit katiedahlmusic.com or call 920.854.7894.
