Football Pioneers Fall to United, 39-6

Sevastopol’s football team scored only one touchdown Friday when the Pioneers lost their Peninsula Conference home football game to Oneida Nation/NEW Lutheran, 39-6.

Starting quarterback Logan Schuh scored for Sevastopol in the second quarter on a 10-yard touchdown run.

The Pioneers tallied 168 of their 253 yards of total offense on the ground. Alex Andreae led the team in rushing with 83 yards on five carries.

Schuh completed four of 10 passes for 78 yards. Frankie de Young accounted for 51 of those yards on two receptions.

Sevastopol, which dropped to 0-4 overall and 3-0 in the conference, will seek its first win of the season Sept. 22 when it hosts a league game against Wausaukee.
