Forestville Village Trustee Won’t Seek Reelection

One of the two Forestville village trustees whose term expires next April indicated during the June 19 board meeting that he will not seek another two years in office.

Shawn Henderson, who was first elected to the village board in 2016, said he is busy with non-village matters and plans to leave the board after his current term expires.

Henderson – whose mother, Donna Henderson, is the Forestville village treasurer – also agreed to have the board change his village committee assignments to address his other obligations, and he is no longer on the village’s Resolutions and Ordinances Committee.

The current term in office of trustee Lora Jorgensen also expires next April. Village president Terry McNulty and trustees Dan Merkle and Jessica Koskubar were reelected to new two-year terms this past April.
