Sam Forkert turned in an impressive performance at Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) D4 All-Star Game June 19. Forkert, who just completed his senior year at Gibraltar, was the game’s leading scorer with 15 points.
Forkert had the task of guarding heralded University of Wisconsin Milwaukee signee Kyle Kelm and held him to six points on 2 of 13 shooting. The 6’10” Kelm played for D4 state champion Randolph.
Forkert shot 7 of 13 from the field, grabbed 3 rebounds and had 2 blocks for the north squad, which controlled the game from start to finish, winning 77-66. Forkert will play basketball and baseball at D3 Marion University next year.
Fox Sports Wisconsin will broadcast the WBCA all-star games at a future date. Check http://www.Wissports.net for updates on dates and times.
