Forum on Children and Environmental Health Oct. 21

The Clean Water Action Council will host a health forum about children and environmental health featuring Elizabeth J. Neary, MD, MS. Dr. Neary will discuss risks to children from radon, air and drinking water contaminants, and exposure to chemicals and endocrine disruptors from everyday products. She will then explain how to minimize those risks. This health forum will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9:30-11 am at the Brown Co. Library Central Auditorium. Childcare will be available be available for school age children with a reservation to 920.421.8885. Dr. Neary is a Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor, Dept. of Pediatrics, UW School of Medicine and Public Health and a member of the steering committee of the Wisconsin Environmental Health Network. After practicing general pediatrics for more than 15 years, she now teaches environmental health to pediatric residents and med students. She was recently highlighted by the Environmental Defense Fund for her advocacy on lead. This event is part of a series of health forums sponsored by Clean Water Action Council of Northeast Wisconsin which is an environmental advocacy group that has worked to protect human health and the environment since 1985.
